All of these edi­tions of the DR include the com­plete English Prot­es­tant Apoc­ry­pha.  Unlike mod­ern Roman Cath­o­lic bibles, this first English Roman Cath­o­lic bible includes 1 & 2 Esdras and the Prayer of Manas­seh.  This was the result of the request of Pope Pius IV.  Though he rat­i­fied the deci­sion to exclude these Scrip­tures from the offi­cial bib­li­cal canon, he feared that these 3 Scrip­tures would be lost over time if the Roman Cath­o­lic Church did not con­tinue to include them.  Arranged from most to least rec­om­mended.
